Distinguished Member Program

The AIS Distinguished Member program honors individuals who have made a significant, sustained impact on the association and the field of Information Systems.

Program Qualifications

AIS Distinguished Member

  • Membership: Minimum of 5 years of continuous AIS membership.
  • Service: Significant role in AIS or AIS-related activities.
  • Research: At least one publication in an AIS or AIS-affiliated journal.

AIS Distinguished Member – Cum Laude

  • Membership: Minimum of 10 years of continuous AIS membership.
  • Service: Leadership role in AIS or AIS-related activities.
  • Research: At least four publications in AIS or AIS-affiliated journals.

Application Details

  • How to Apply Applications are reviewed twice annually. Please ensure you have a current CV and headshot ready to upload before starting the application. Self-nominations are encouraged.
  • Deadlines: May 1 and November 1 of each year.
  • Recognition: Recipients receive an AIS membership card designation, a printable certificate for tenure packets, and recognition on the website.
